Lunch Buffet at Bayside Dining & Bar, Yokohama Sakuragicho Washington Hotel

I recently visited the Dining & Bar Bayside at Yokohama Sakuragicho Washington Hotel for their lunch buffet.

The variety was impressive—Japanese, Western, Chinese, and even Asian-inspired dishes were available, making it a true international dining experience. Let me share the highlights with you.

Unagi Don (Grilled Eel Rice Bowl)

One of the first dishes I tried was the unagi don.

The bowl came topped with generous amounts of shredded seaweed and thin omelet strips, covering fluffy rice beneath. The sweet-savory eel with sauce was rich and satisfying—quite a treat to find at a buffet.

Western Plate

This plate featured roast beef, grilled chicken, spring rolls, potato wedges, and salad.

The roast beef was tender and flavorful, complemented by a slightly tangy sauce. The creamy potato salad and fresh vegetables balanced the plate nicely.

Japanese & Teppan Dishes

For a Japanese touch, I enjoyed sushi, mini hamburg steaks, takoyaki, and vegetables.

The maguro (tuna) sushi was fresh and simple, while the hot dishes brought out that comforting, home-style flavor you expect at a buffet.

Asian-Inspired Menu

The buffet also offered chicken curry with naan and pho (Vietnamese noodles).

The curry was thick and aromatic, perfect for dipping with soft naan. Meanwhile, the pho had a refreshing broth with chicken, cilantro, and a squeeze of lemon, giving it a light and clean taste.

Global Flavors on a Plate

I also tried fried noodles, fried rice, shrimp spring rolls, braised pork belly, and smoked salmon rolls.

It was a colorful mix of flavors from around the world. The shrimp spring rolls stood out with their fresh, crisp texture and sweet chili sauce.

Dessert Selection

To finish, the dessert corner had a wonderful variety: peach cake, strawberry mousse, a fluffy roll cake, tart, mille crepe, and more.

They were light, fruity, and not overly sweet—just the right way to end the meal.
