Savoring the Flavor of Nagamachi Ramen in Sendai

During my visit to Sendai, I stopped by the popular local ramen shop, Nagamachi Ramen, to try their signature soy sauce-based ramen. This bowl features a simple yet rich broth with a satisfying depth of flavor. I opted for the ramen with extra slices of chashu, paired with a delicious set meal.

The soy sauce broth has a refined, well-balanced taste. Its smooth, clean finish makes it easy to enjoy every spoonful, and the depth of flavor keeps you coming back for more. The medium-thin noodles are perfectly cooked, pairing seamlessly with the broth for a delightful combination.

The highlight of the dish is the thick-cut chashu, packed with umami and offering just the right amount of chewiness. It’s a hearty addition that elevates the ramen, both in flavor and presentation.

The set meal includes seasoned rice and pickled vegetables, which complement the ramen beautifully. The rice, mixed with small pieces of chashu, pairs wonderfully with the noodles, while the pickles refresh your palate, allowing you to fully enjoy each bite.

For the ultimate experience, I recommend upgrading to a large portion of noodles and enjoying the full set meal. Alternating between the ramen and rice ensures every bite feels complete and satisfying.
