The other day, I had lunch at Sendai Gyoza Kanji, a restaurant in Sendai known for its delicious gyoza. While the specialty of the restaurant is gyoza, I decided to try their ramen this time.
Finely Chopped Green Onions and a Simple Yet Flavorful Ramen
The ramen I ordered came with a light, clear broth, and the thin noodles were perfectly balanced with the toppings. The bowl was topped with finely chopped green onions, adding a fresh look to the dish. The toppings included tender slices of chashu pork that practically fell apart, menma (bamboo shoots), and nori seaweed, creating a simple yet well-crafted bowl of ramen.
The thin noodles had a light texture, complementing the broth without overpowering it. The broth itself had a clean and refreshing taste, making it easy to enjoy.
Gyoza for Lunch and a Cozy Izakaya-Style Atmosphere at Night
One of the highlights of Sendai Gyoza Kanji is that you can enjoy gyoza even during lunch. While I opted for ramen this time, I’m looking forward to trying their gyoza on my next visit.
The restaurant also has a cozy izakaya-style atmosphere, making it a great spot to enjoy drinks and gyoza in the evening. Whether for a filling lunch or a relaxed night with friends, Sendai Gyoza Kanji seems like the perfect place to visit for both.
