Have you heard of the spicy and delicious Nakamoto?

Today, I’ll introduce the “Mouko Tanmen Nakamoto Spicy Miso” cup noodles from Seven Premium. Mouko Tanmen Nakamoto is a popular spicy ramen chain across Japan, but for those who live outside the Kanto region, it can be tough to visit their stores. That’s where this cup noodle comes in handy.

Why I Love Nakamoto

Personally, I love the spiciness and rich miso broth of Nakamoto. It’s extremely spicy, yet addicting. The umami spreads through your mouth, followed by a gradual kick of heat—it’s an irresistible combination. This cup noodle captures that signature Nakamoto flavor really well.

The Broth: A Faithful Recreation

When I tasted it, I found that the broth closely mirrors the flavor from the actual restaurant. The balance between spiciness and umami is spot on, and even if you’re not a fan of extreme spiciness, you might find it enjoyable with a little tolerance.

Evaluating the Noodles

As for the noodles, I have to admit that there’s a limit to how much you can replicate the restaurant’s fresh noodles in a cup version. That being said, the texture is quite good for instant noodles. They have a firm bite and pair well with the rich broth.

When You Crave Nakamoto

If you don’t live near a Nakamoto store, or you suddenly crave their spicy flavor, this cup noodle is a great, convenient alternative. It allows you to enjoy Nakamoto’s famous spicy miso broth at home, so why not give it a try?
