I recently visited Hachi, a Western-style restaurant located inside Sendai Station. This restaurant is widely known in Sendai, and its signature dish is none other than Napolitan. In fact, their Napolitan was once crowned the best in Japan at a competition held in Yokohama, the birthplace of Napolitan.
This time, I tried the staff-recommended “Napolitan & Hamburger Steak” combo. You can choose between a hamburger made with “mixed beef and pork” or “100% Wagyu beef.” I opted for the mixed beef and pork version.
A Generous and Flavorful Hamburger Steak
The hamburger steak was rich in size yet light and not overly greasy. Its juicy, well-balanced flavor made it easy to eat, and I could imagine enjoying more than one without feeling overwhelmed. It was absolutely delightful!
Napolitan Worthy of Its Title
The Napolitan lived up to its reputation, with chewy, perfectly cooked noodles smothered in a rich and tangy ketchup-based sauce. Packed with shrimp and vegetables, it was a heavenly dish for any Napolitan lover. As a fan myself, I thoroughly enjoyed every bite.
Excellent Service and Thoughtful Management
The staff’s hospitality added to the experience. Their friendly and attentive service reflected the high standards of the restaurant.
When I checked their official website, I discovered even more about their thoughtful approach to business. They’re actively engaged in corporate social responsibility initiatives, such as hosting workplace experiences for middle school students and increasing wages for their staff. They even provide guidelines for YouTubers filming in their restaurants and celebrate key milestones like their founder’s memorial day. These efforts reveal a commitment to running a restaurant that’s not only successful but also cherished by the community.
Don’t Miss “Hachi” When in Miyagi!
While Hachi’s flagship location is in Natori City, you can enjoy their signature dishes right at Sendai Station. If you’re ever in Sendai, make sure to stop by! The Napolitan and hamburger steak combo is an absolute must-try for Western food lovers.
